Selection of Athletes for International Competitions

The selection procedure, shortlisting and documentation pertaining to representation at the 2018 Asian Games was the subject matter of this Appeal. While the PA’s preliminary objection was that it did not subsume under the definition of a “Public Authority” in terms of Section 43 of the RTI Act, at the final hearing of the matter, the PA agreed to the release of all documentation called for by the Appellant on Order of the Commission.
